I feel like either anarchy Gaige or grog nozzle +whatever salvador is the best for soloing. 400+ stacks of anarchy is more than enough to kill anything in the game, and the grog nozzle makes Salvador very very hard to kill due to ridiculous health regen. Just don't sham fleet. Maya is great fun but not for elemental damage, for crowd control, and AOE damge. Gaige is better for elemental damage than maya, as well is krieg.
